At Chaplaincy Health Care, families often express that they want to help others receive the same compassionate care and support that they received.

Through a gift to our Summer Gifts campaign, you can make an immediate impact by helping to provide critical, but unreimbursed, services like bereavement and spiritual care, and ensure volunteers are available to provide an extra layer of support. Gifts also help provide patient care for those who are unable to pay, making services accessible for all who need them.

When you give a gift to the Hospice Care Campaign, you help people in our community complete their end-of-life journey in comfort and dignity, regardless of their ability to pay. As part of the hospice benefit, hospice patients and their families receive chaplain, volunteer and bereavement care.

These three critical services are required by Medicare, but we do not receive reimbursement for them — at a substantial cost to our agency. Your generous investment makes these services possible.

Cork’s Place Kids Grief Center is the only grief support facility in our area that is specifically designed for children and teens. Cork’s Place is free of charge and provides a safe and supportive environment where children, teens and families who are grieving a death can share their experiences as they move through their healing process.

With no other child and teen grief support facility in southeastern Washington, it is a crucial service for our community. Cork’s Place is funded by community support and is a service that couldn’t be offered without generous donors, like you.

We believe in living your best life, at every stage. Stages of grief, illness and end of life are no different. To make this possible, we are in-need of a new Hospice Care Center and Cork’s Place Bereavement Center.
